At long last, Lady Day has been released, the light side to Lord Night! I started this song right after I had uploaded Lord Night back in 2019 and I originally wanted to release it in the Spring of 2020. However, with the pandemic occurring and changes in everyday life, it got pushed back and back until today.
Similar to Lord Night written around the theme of sleep, rest and general darkness, I tried to write Lady Day around the theme of ‘brightness’ and ‘liveliness’. I’m not really sure if I accomplished that but I hope the lyrics contrast well to the previous song in the series. The titular ‘Lady Day’ is the Master of the Day, Regulator of work. She governs when things should start and end so they can return to the days of Night while her subjects praise her for the opportunity to serve.
I’m not sure when they will be released but I have a few more songs planned for the rest of the series.
I’ll like to say thanks to bio for gifting AVANNA to me! I’ll make sure to do her justice to the best of my ability.
Now that I’m finished my first song with AVANNA, I believe I’ll be able to write more songs with her over the coming years more easily than it did for this debut.
