Terms of Usage

If any of the guidelines here do not answer your questions, feel free to check out the FAQ or contact me. The processing of data is governed under the website's Privacy Policy.

Audible refers to all musical content, which includes, but is not limited to songs, soundtracks, etc.

I reserve the right to request removal of any of the following on a case-by-case basis if necessary. In all of the below cases, you must credit the name "VoXil" (or the appropriate alias), and link to the original work where feasible.. In addition, some songs may have different terms on a case-by-case basis, which will be denoted when applicable. In the case of derivative works based on my own, please keep in mind that both the following terms and the terms of the derivative work's owner apply. I reserve the right to request removal of any of the following on a case-by-case basis if necessary.

These terms apply to the music made solely by myself, and terms may differ for collaborative works (Project Merleloid, Kaigai Kiyokura, etc.) or for music by others featured on this site. If there are any further inquiries, please feel free to contact me.

Non-Profit Use

“Non-profit use” includes anything posted on the Internet publicly for free use, provided no fee is charged for accessibility and no money of any kind is earned (in this case “earned money” includes via methods such as YouTube monetization).

The following may be done freely:

  • For music in general
    • The song's audio attached to a video made with the intention of emphasising the video's contents (animated video, PV with a significant number of drawings, livestreams, etc.)
    • One-time plays (online DJ rooms, online radio, etc.)
    • Remixes/rearrangements
    • Use in live events
  • For music in which the instrumental is being distributed
    • Cover versions using the original instrumental
    • Voice synthesis software files (UST, VSQx, etc.) intended to assist in the creation of such covers

Commercial Use

Herein “commercial usage” is defined as situations in which money changes hands for anything relevant to my work. This includes YouTube monetization, selling music, Patreon, and the like.

The followed is allowed:

  • Small-scale distribution (doujinshi events, Bandcamp/other independent online stores)
    • Remixes/rearrangements in which a significant amount of the arrangement is done by the user (i.e. not simply the original song with a pitch/speed change)
    • Human vocal cover versions using the original instrumental
  • Ad-based monetization (such as YouTube's) and Patreon (and similar services)
    • Remixes/rearrangements in which a significant amount of the arrangement is done by the user
    • The song's audio attached to a video made with the intention of emphasising the video's contents
    • Human vocal cover versions using the original instrumental
  • Commissions in which the money is paid solely to cover the cost of labour
    • Remixes/rearrangements in which a significant amount of the arrangement is done by the user
    • The song's audio attached to a video made with the intention of emphasising the video's contents
    • Human vocal cover versions using the original instrumental
    • Creation and distribution of voice synthesis software files intended to assist in the creation of such covers

Permission Required

Contact me if any of the following concerns you:

  • Use in commercial products
  • Use by a corporation or corporate entity
  • Large-scale distribution of derivative works (major stores such as iTunes, major labels, etc.)
  • Anything related to materials that were originally made on commission for a third party

Forbidden

The following is not allowed, link back to the original distribution for such purposes.

  • Redistribution (both non-profit and commercial) of the unmodified or barely-modified music
  • Redistribution (both non-profit and commercial) of the unmodified or barely-modified instrumentals
  • Redistribution (both non-profit and commercial) of provided UST or VSQx files

Visual refers to all illustrative content, which includes, but is not limited to concepts, drawings, paintings, etc.

    • Use as profile pictures on social media sites
  • For uploaded videos
    • Video footage attached to a remix/rearrangement or cover of the original song

    • The illustration attached to a video made with the intention of emphasising the video's content
  • Commissions in which the money paid solely to cover the cost of labour
    • Fanart based on the designs of original characters or designs based on licensed characters (provided adherence to the original character's terms of usage)

    • Derivatives based on the original characters or story (provided adherence to the original's terms of usage)
